Introduction
Ever since I bought myself a digital camera in august 2002, I'm shooting pictures of my piranha's and other tank inhabitants like a madman. My first camera was a (back then) relatively cheap and very simple model (a Sony DSC-P20 with 1,3 Megapixel and - unfortunately only - digital zoom (Ifor about $200,-). A simple yet adequate camera, good enough for posting pictures on the internet. With this camera I've taken lots of surprisingly crisp and detailed pictures, until it was replaced by a more up-to-date model in October 2004, when I purchased a Sony DSC-P73, with 4,1 Megapixels and 3x optical zoom (for about the same price: shows how fast digital camera evolution went back in those days!)
This great camera enabled me to shoot much larger, much better pictures, was in turn replaced by my dream camera, which I bought in October 2005: I'm talking about the Canon EOS 350D (or Rebel XT, as some may known it), a Digital SLR with a whopping 8 Megapixels. I'm starting with the 28-80mm. lense that came with a Canon EOS film camera I already owned, but I'm planning to buy additional lenses (macro, tele) in the future - but first I need to recover from the massive hole that this new camera blasted in my pocket... :P
On this page you find the best pictures I've taken over the course of time. At least once per month a new photo page will be added to the site, sometimes more often, so make sure to check this page out on a regular basis. It may take a while before all photo's are loaded (depending on your connection speed), but it's worth the waiting......
I'll try to update this page on a regular basis, to keep track of the growth of my fish and visible changes in tank set-up.
